I can’t get it to show stations or anything when I click on favorites or just the find gas option. All I get now is a message saying that something went wrong. Very annoying! App needs to be fixed especially since some people spend money on the card and need the app to see who accepts it.

I have not been able to get the new card. The app will not update. I have reached out to GasBuddy multiple times and have received no help. But they sure want their money!

I’ve been using GasBuddy for a looong time. Honestly, I’m pretty sure it’s been 20+ years (is that possible?). But now it freezes upon opening regularly, requiring me to restart it. I keep thinking they are going to fix it. So far, nope.

I’ve been trying to get a new gas buddy card for over two months now and still have not received. It have reported it numerous times and cannot seem to get any answer answers. I’ve used gas buddy for many many years. This is the first Issue I’ve had with it. Will gladly change my one star to a five star if somebody will get in touch with me and get me my new.

I loved this app because I used my GasBuddy debit card to get automatic fuel discounts by activating instant offers in the app. Now since they’ve switched their model to the GasBuddy Plus card, they ONLY offer “GasBack” on some fuel purchases with your GasBuddy debit card, & even that doesn’t work! I activated a “GasBack” offer & fueled up but it still hasn’t populated in my account, it just spins indefinitely, & I contacted support a few weeks ago about it, but I’ve heard absolutely nothing from them. Probably deleting & using Upside app instead.

They insist my address is undeliverable because their software is out of date. They keep insisting I use an address that doesn’t exist. They must be slow

This thing used to be great, but can’t update gas prices went to 2 stations in the last week and gas was .30 higher than marked even though updated “20 minutes ago”

This app is awesome and is community ran. Just missing one thing. Specialty fuel like "Rec90"

This app used to be useful for displaying gas station prices. During the past year , less and less stations populate on the screen with a price. Now maybe about 2 out of 5 stations. Useless. I’m deleting it

Hardly any stations in my area show prices. I’ve noticed that sometimes I’ll update prices myself and just a day or two later, the app won’t show the price for that station. It’s a shame this app is dying.

Giving it a 1 for the pop up that doesn’t allow me to search for gas. 5 stars before this ridiculous popup. This app was great before the pop up that promises a free gift. It takes you to a place where you have to sign up for info on things, like therapy, Ozempic, men’s hair loss & you have to choose 2. I don’t want info on any of those so I can’t search for gas prices.

When I first got gas buddy, there were good savings. But, I rarely get more than 3¢ a gallon anymore and that cannot come close to matching the 4% I get from credit card. If it was tied to my credit card like loyalty accounts are eg Shell, it might be worth it. But, jumping through all the hoops just makes it a pain. I can maintain a few loyalty accounts at max discount and use my credit card to get far better discounts.

I have found this app very useful and very helpful when traveling. Only problem I have with it is that there is a station near my home that has been closed for major renovations for several months. GB doesn’t seem to want to make that information known. Oh, well, it looks like it may reopen soon.

Don’t believe the gas prices anymore for this app, the scammer owners “you know the type” have managed to scam the app and post the wrong prices, just like Google accepts fake reviews for businesses

I can’t use the app now because their is an ad for Nift that keeps popping up and will not allow me to close it and proceed!

Return fees are steep. Also they don’t process transactions in order some times. Making you believe that a transaction prior was process. Must be some kind of trick so that your hit with those fees. Losing your savings

The more I use this, the shadier it gets. Broken promises, bait and switch, it’s all about getting me to do things for you, then I get the shaft

Why don’t you explain how this works so far I’m getting no benefits and I think I’m gonna just stop trading with you guys

Got an iPhone 16 over the weekend. The app worked just fine on my old iphone12 mini. Now I just have blank space when the area gas stations used to show. Can anyone help me fix this? I use app all the time, especially when traveling.

I need a new card because mine expired and thought I was ordering a new card but instead it’s their plus card that’s coming and their app doesn’t work right in the menu to order a new regular card. I cannot see everything on the screen and it won’t scroll. What garbage!

It’s not working anymore

I have no desire for my “free gift” but I have to click buttons to even be able to use the app. I actually pay for Gas Buddy, but if I get one more free gift pop up I will cancel.

I can’t even use the app without accepting a “free” gift from some third party company that sells your data. Crazy.

Ever since I received the Gas Buddy + card, my activations are not giving me the discount listed in the app. I cannot get support to reply to my questions

I get so far to the address part of it and it does nothing. Wouldn’t mind getting a new card for stuff

Love the old way , having problem with new card said to take picture of receipt but after l got gas that was no were to be found and not even sure the extra off was still going thru

I’ve been using Gas Buddy for years and today wanted to see how much savings I’ve accumulated. Finding the amount I’ve earned on the app proved to be quite the goose chase and once I found it I discovered that rewards expire. I’ve never cashed out my accumulated savings over the last 4 years and I find that I only have $4 to use (my husband’s Upsides account has accumulated $60 in comparison… this is only from getting gas and have been using the app for half as long). Now how do I use my $4? I’m sure I can figure it out but it is not at all intuitive. They make it so hard to find your balance and use it. Just a waste of time uploading receipts thinking I’d actually get money back for it. Gas Buddy is a joke. Only good for finding gas deals but if you think you’re getting any cash back, don’t get too excited.

This app used to be so helpful, now it’s dominated by a handful of either trolls or greedy gas station owners that login and report prices 30-40 cents cheaper than reality. It used to be very rare that this would happen and now it’s less than 70% reliable that the prices even be accurate. Those who correctly report prices are overridden within minutes by someone that falsely says price has dropped.

I have been with Gas Buddy for a long time, YEARS! I’ve gotten friends & family on the app & we all love it. Until we were notified that now the option to use the gas buddy card that debits out of a Checking Account is being discontinued & now if you want to take advantage of “cheaper gas” of up to 35 cents off you MUST QUALIFY FOR A MASTER CARD/AKA CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT! What a slap in the face! Currently people are already paying outrageous fees, interest rates & extra costs EVERYWHERE. So now an app that claims to save people money is REQUIRING THEM TO QUALIFY OR OPEN AN ACCOUNT THAT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO ADD MORE DEBT/FEES/INTEREST! The savings at the pump are not worth the potential risk. What an awful thing to require for an app claiming to save people money at the pump ESPECIALLY NOW! I’m so disgusted. My identity was stolen so I don’t use credit cards, also MANY PEOPLE don’t like using credit for GAS PURPOSES! It’s one of the easiest ways to acquire debt/biggest money makers for the banks- why? PEOPLE NEED GAS!! Again SHAME ON GAS BUDDY!

All I wanted to do was find gas prices around me. It I could not get off the the $30 free gift pop up no matter how many times I clicked on the x to close it. I just wanted to go get some gas. APP DELETED!!!!!!!

Used Gas Buddy since 2013, cannot figure out how to use my card to pay for gas out of my checking account. $4,000+ in my acct and GAS BUDDY (GB) could not get paid. >Do not know what has changed, that the GB could not get funds to pay for my Gas. Always advising family & friends to use GB; no longer until someone tells me how to use it. Can’t find a contact ph# either.

Has a pop now that won’t let you get to gas buddy. Annoying and really makes me angry

The interface is completely locked until click a button that ops you in for some random digital subscription that you don’t want. The modal dialog is locked until you follow the first few steps of signing up. I have used this app off and on over the years and find it has been very useful. This new integration is not good. Why not just charge for the app?

The database that stores the gas prices is corrupted & periodically deletes data. This app is now useless.

All you need to know is that they share info with insurance companies. They use your telemetry state in your phone.

The app stopped reporting ANY gas stations. Submitted a ticket over two weeks ago but no responses from Gas Buddy.

Price listings are now mostly out of date, unreliable, or unavailable. Some stores not even identified correctly, and won’t update even after submitted corrections. Rest of app is mostly pushing useless promotions and goofy gamifying of gas purchases. Used to be the go-to for locating best gas prices. Not anymore.

Horrible app! Prices are NEVER correct. No customer service. I have emailed many times to change my email and also get my discount fixed because I filled up 3 cars, I only got my discount on 1 of my 3 transactions even when my discount was activated. I also shouldn’t HAVE to active my discount, it should already automatically be applied since I am using my GasBuddy card.

Gas prices shown are almost always wrong, in my experience probably 4 out of 5 times the real price at the station is 8% to 10% higher than what is reported on the app just a short time before. One station today was 13% higher than the app showed.

I remove the app years ago when it started tracking. I tried it again today and still doesn’t function. The website works great if you don’t want tracking but the website maps and gas reports appear to not function. Seems like this service is just to make money selling your personal data.

I was charged for the membership because I clicked on the sign up button expecting it to tell me the price and send me to a confirmation page. Instead it just went straight to charging me. That’s predatory. Hope I can get a refund. Also, trying to get a new GasBuddy card shipped to me doesn’t work, the app is extremely glitchy. Would not recommend. 1 star.
